A-Z

I saw this A-Z survey on Oh She Glows and got all nostalgic. I remember filling out things like this in high school and the first couple years of university. The cool thing was to write witty responses and forward them to all your friends. This really brings it back.

A. Age: 27

B. Bed size: Queen

C. Chore you dislike: Ironing

D. Dogs: There have been many over the years - Ming, Harris, Newt, Jasper, Clyde, Stella...not all mine but all hold a special place in my heart. What can I say - I'm a dog person.

E. Essential start to your day: COFFEE, the snooze button, mindless television.

F. Favorite color: Orange, blue

G. Gold or silver: Gold

H. Height: 5’8. No one ever believes me when I say this but it's true. For some reason I come off as shorter.

I. Instruments you play(ed): Piano, guitar, violin. And for a brief period in Grade 1, the recorder.

J. Job title: Reporter

K. Kids: Stella and Napoleon (dog and cat, respectively)

L. Live: In my Nan's old house. She's passed on now, but sometimes I imagine she haunts the place. In truth don't actually believe that she does, but it's nice to have someone to blame it on when something goes missing.

M. Mom’s name: Ann

N. Nicknames: Holl, Holls

O. Overnight hospital stays: Not since I had my tonsils out when I was three - touch wood.

P. Pet peeves: Tax talk, forms with lines and boxes that need to be filled out, bureaucratic things in general

Q. Quote from a movie: "The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool." - (Almost Famous). This quote is the story of my life.

R. Righty or lefty: Ambidextrous

S. Siblings: Only child. It explains a lot, I know.

T. Time you wake up: On weekdays, 6:30. More like 8:30 on weekends, unless the animals are being particularly noisy.

U. Underwear: Comfortable, but pretty.

V. Vegetables you don’t like: This is hard because I'm a huge vegetable fan. However, I don't think I will ever enjoy cauliflower or celery.

W. What makes you run late: Morning brain fog.

X. X-rays you’ve had: Five of my lungs. I'm very prone to pneumonia.

Y. Yummy food you make: Pies, cakes, muffins. Baking in general, as opposed to cooking.

Z. Zoo animal favorites: Seeing animals at the zoo tends to make me feel sad. But if pressed I'd go with the polar bears.
